our band MOOD played at Handuraw last Sat night and it was a blast. we played alongside Sheila and the Insects (whos got a video and an album up, Cattski, Squall, Happy Days and there;s this other punk rock band.

we played together with these veterans. i have heard of sheila while i was still in highschool. =P

our first song didnt go too well (for me at least) because i busted my lower E string. *sad* but that was ok. because i immediately transposed all my chords into the lower strings so that the rhythms dont get messed up.The audience said we did great. =) hehehe one of our friend who goes to our gigs said we did a lot better this time. whoa! we kicked ass.

i am gonna practice more and more.... hehehe i sleep with my guitar and at least once a day i read and learn some lessons in classical music.

but my aim is to add digital music into our songs/gigs. my 707II can play samples though i havent tried it yet.

musicology and some insights about people's hearts

we just had another band practice. this time we felt like we are "there" already. like we are "a band". though our lead guitarist is absent..he is in the hospital. i hope he gets well. he is my newfound alcohol-soulmate. hehehe

so we played our set, the one we are gonna do this sat. and we did have fun.=)

i jumped and hit our vocalist.. oops.. sorry. well i hit her mic, and the mic hit her mouth. =( sooooory.. eheheh

we are gonna cover K's choice - Everything For Free. =)


people should take care of other people's hearts. it hurts to know that you hurt someone as well.

i have this new friend whos got a problem with her new friend also. they work in the same company. and all that complications. they got too close to soon that people are asking and they are both pressured, and confused.

i always give her a positive and proactive inputs.. like i tell her, if the guy is having problems dealing with it, she should make things easier for the guy.

Small hints. Big hints wont work. sadly it wont. they should be brave enough to give their hearts a chance. oh well. i hope they work things out soon. before one gets bored with it... and they will lose everything and their lives would change.

i am sooo tired now. me and our new lead guitarist stayed in my house and played the songs that we are going to play this saturday night for the Post No Bill gig.
our band will be the only "newbie" in the scene.. we will be lined up with veterans.. like this band was out since i was in highschool. that was like ten years ago? and we just got out of our shells this year. this gig is going to be some sort of wakker upper snorties. .hhehehhe =) i mean. this is make or break stuff.

i havent had time to write but i want to really blog about my day last friday sat and sun.

thursday was my good friend (old friend from highschool and ex colleague) JOrdan's birthday. so i stayed up until like 2am. anyway, the next morning at 10am i had to go to this ofc.

it was of my friend's. a korean couple, Frank and Pearl.

we had to redo their site, and build it from scratch for 2 days. wow. PEarl said we get it done ASAP. as soon as possible for me is.."when u like to do it" lol.. =)

man. it was really tiring. i was working from 10am to 9pm.

but they buy me lunch and dinner. and on the 2nd night we had dinner at a nearby resto.

but everything wasnt polished that sat (day 2). so we had to work again on sunday.. and at 1am we got a scheduled band meeting. but the band meeting was moved to 3pm so i finished at around 1pm.

during those hours working with pearl and frank i learned something that is of value. TIME. they spend their time working working and working. but its not like they dont have time for the basics, they do. that's what i admire so much.

get this. when eating in a restaurant, they dont wait for the waiter to hand over the bill, and then slowly walk out. (chattering, if they were like me and my friends)

instead we approached the counter and paid it promptly and moved back to the ofc.

whoa. =) well it was all worth it. i was beggining to feel really bored at home that i can just pick anyone on the street and ask him/her to drink with me. ehhehe

i havent been writing poems lately.. but i do have some words on my mind..

well. gotta sleep now. =)

awhile ago i was watching Jools holland DVD, and watched the short interviews of Bjork and Moby. Wow, bjork cannot pronounce english well, but what the hell she makes great music. i was awed by the fact that she doesnt just makes sounds out of guitars or synths and percs.... but she has this different devices and stuff. WOW =)

and then Moby. and i learned that Porcelain (a famed catwalk score) has a backmasked orchestra sample. i was like what? where?... and then if you just listen to it.. you will know.. and again u can just say.. wow.. where did they get this idea? then that is the difference between moby.. and me. hehehe.

i have been creating this "2nd" song off FruityLoops. it is more upbeat this time. the first one was like very downtempo. its called Rain. i was did it while listening to the rain falling by my window. hehe =)

i hope my band is gonna call up for practice anytime this week. either that or im gonna do drugs on my own. hahahha just kidding. =) my band is clean.

3 weeks ago a friend talked to me about creating this kind of music. we dont know what genre it is yet. but we know it is a fusion of ethnic instruments and electronica... well i just learned that it is ethno+rock. whoa and a lot are doing it all ready.. but i guess not so much in cebu.

its wild. its sexy. girls are gonna love it. hehehe =) (dating status.. checked)

ahhh. im gonna sleep now..

but i heard Pharell isnt getting any sleep.. what drug is he on?

earlier this afternoon i have created a new blog acct., because i can no longer remember the password of the old one, and cannot remember which email address i used when i created it.

so now, i was just gonna add an edit to my first post, then i again forgot the password of my new account. so i went through the whole process., and for some weird reason i got logged in to my old account. cheers!

this is really great =) now i can start posting some more poems....

~*~* an hour ago i was watching this cd from the Month. i think its a publication in ireland.. is it? mine is an old one given by a family friend who works in ireland.
so i was watching this Discography of RHCP (red hot chilli peppers) and got really inspired... i was on my boxers, and grabbed my ... guitar =)

its an outdated cd, eheh Crowe's MAster and Commander is still "coming"

speaking of movies. i have just watched "The Big Fish". so sue me. =) the movie was great. it speaks of the thin line between reality and life. life is how you see it.
some people say.. im a jobless bloke. but i see myself as a fulltime musician now. =)

so its like that. your life is good. no matter how others see it. your life is good.

your life is full of sound. your life is full of picture. its got some sad "scenes" but hell its got loads of laughter too right?

my ex-boss can raise his voice to me, but at the end of the day, im drinking house wine with my favorite officemates and chit chat the night away.
